Tact is not your greatest virtue. When deriding a younger generation's music, use words like 'interesting', 'different','intriguing'. ANd you sound like our fathers--"if you had to do REAL work...."
Allan Bloom wrote" This is the age of music and the states of soul that accompany it." Where disco was mainly bland and mindless, today's "music" is nihilistic,violent and terrifying. If it represents our young people's souls, we are in deep doodoo.
