Oki says licenses Rambus interface technology TOKYO, July 21 (Reuters) - Oki Electric Industry Co Ltd said on Tuesday it had obtained a license for Rambus interface technology from U.S. firm Rambus Inc for logic and application specific integrated circuits (ASIC). The technology will be available in Oki's ASIC products by the end of 1998, it said. Rambus technology is used with multimedia, communications and consumer electronic products such as digital television and personal computers. Oki said direct Rambus technology enables 1.6 gigabyte per second of peak bandwidth from a single device. Rambus is based in Mountain View, California. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
