From a Bowater press release... pulp and paper prices

"During the quarter, prices for newsprint and coated paper were higher than in the second quarter of last year and up slightly from the first quarter of 1998."

"Pulp prices recovered from the low first quarter levels, and were about the same as the second quarter of last year. Demand for Bowater's paper and pulp products remained strong during the second quarter, despite the continued economic weakness in Asia."

So we have strong demand, firm paper prices, high production and a falling stock price?
