Media metrix estimates about page views.... mediametrix.com Media metrix wires in meters into thousands of computers and measures what percent of these computers in a given month visit a web site. Here are the percentages for AMZN for the last six months, both for computers at work, and for computers in homes. Since these are percentages, they do not reflect the overall increase in the number of internet users. Month.....Home......Work June..........8.5.......11.5 May.........6.3........8.1 April.........6.1........7.5 March.......7.6........8.3 Feb...........7.0........9.3 Jan............6.8........8.7 I think we all are still in the process of figuring out what these numbers mean in terms of sales revenues. The jump in June could just be people checking out the new music business without really buying CD's. They also could indicate higher than expected sales revenues. We'll know later in the week.
