I agree it is troublesome that all the money seems to be concentrated at the top. On CNBC Squawkbox this morning they were saying that if you were to eliminate the top 4-5 stocks, the overall market has not been doing so well.

But I wonder. . . If stocks like QCOM have not participated as much as they deserve in the bull market, will they participate in the next bear market? One of these days -- maybe sooner than we would like -- we'll see the DOW drop 1,500-2,000 points, perhaps approaching 20%. If most of the gain has been in the top stocks, won't most ofthe loss also be there?

In other words, is QCOM a hedge position?
