Stop loss is nice but the problem I have is that the MM know this and use it to your disadvantage. Did you know that on the TSE there has to be a trade at the stop loss price before it is executed. On the NASDAQ all that is necessary is a bid price and you can kiss your shares good bye. Thinly traded stocks you could get really killed if the bid is very low because you are forced to take the bid price.
You were successful on Geac but I bet you had one that didn't work for you.
The way I look at it is if I really like the company I have no problem riding it through the storm. And the way I see it Geac is presently in a terrible storm :-)
