Remember also that last time around the street was expecting them to beat earnings handily, thus the dissapointment when they only met. This time, judging by the price action the past two days, there aren't very high expectations at all, hence the solid gain for Schwab when they met expectations (helped along, of course by some takeover rumours). So hopefully, tonight 16 will be good enough, especialy if they make some positive forward looking statemnts, which after the Softbank deal, they're bound to do. The ultimate scenario would be if they slightly beat, show some solid account growth, and announce some good marketing agreements. |
