Jeff:

Being a "creative speller", took a few seconds to realize that answering the question: "to t or not to t" (sorry Shakepeare) might fit the intended "udder" meaning. Oh well, had better stop while I am ahead...speaking of which, head that is, I am not sure that I wish to turn the "udder" check.

Been irrigating and assembling an 18'dia x 16'high grain bin...so way behind on office work.

My I share my cow milking days? Blackie was old skin and bones despite production matched feeding. Gentle but when the teats hurt a cow may kick. At over five gallons per milking ( hand milking twice a day) it was easier for me to set the bucket flat on the concrete floor instead of holding it between my legs

Once in a great while Blackie would decide to wash her foot in the milk bucket, waiting until the milk was deep enough to do a good job. The milk went to the hogs and hobbles on the cow.

Best to all, sorry not to have answered all PM...one of these days,

Marshall

Jeff, calves and piglets suck also.

When the weather is cold and stormy I say: "Am I glad not to have to feed any cows". No matter how challenging at the time, the memory of the challenge is easier.

All is quiet on the Western/Midland Front, hopefuly the quiet before the storm...we need and pray for a$tion.
