Lee, I was the one who asked that question. The answer I got was just as Bruce stated, but I didn't really understand it. We were told that the "transformer" was the place where the signal stopped, and if they WANTED to share the info to a building across the street, beyond the transformer, that they'd necessarily have to run a line between the two buildings. It is THAT secure.

I didn't understand "transformer". But your QUESTION makes me realize that a transformer must be a normal part of industrial wiring. Now it makes more sense to me!
