Cisco is listed as a co-submitter (along with Scientific Atlanta) on the submission Broadcom made to the standards committee a couple of weeks ago. Plus their shareholding in Broadcom is worth a lot more than their Terayon holding-you knew they were shareholders in both, right? As to their selling products in the US which conform to either a QAM-based or multi-tone standard, my guess is not in this century-development effort required is denominated in years, not quarters or months.
