Mr. Segal,

Northern Telecom has publicly stated the delay will not have a financial impact either on their 4th quarter results or their full-year results (see exchange2000.com ). This should be applicable to Qualcomm as well. However, given the fact that Northern Telecom led Sprint PCS to believe as late as November 4, 1996 that Sprint PCS would be able to launch 15 to 20 markets by the end of 1996, it remains to be seen whether Northern Telecom's claims will prove true.
