Don't listen to the bumpkins who tell you the SEC doesn't care.
The SEC is always concerned with illegal promotion.
Only a bumpkin would contend otherwise, or a hypester who didn't want you to complain.

Go ahead and give it a try, the SEC cannot do anything until they get the complaints.
It is fairly easy for the SEC to get info on the companies that are paid to hype, but they cannot act without investor complaints.

So bumpkins will try this approach
"Ahv'e tried to complain, it don't do no good, y'all know that"
This is a lie, straightforward and outright. The SEC does care and the two-bit shills that run these slimy promotions know that they do. The shills and paid touts will try to minimize complaints while doing their pump of the company.
The SEC can't act without investor complaints, the more they have, the quicker they act.

Yesterdays end of the day manipulation, (IMO done with money they made selling stock yesterday) was a clear example of a spike being used to kill investors.

Apparently the plan includes more BULLSHIT NEWS like this last one, at least that is what they hypesters tell us.
