One dimensional man My reference for "you might get your ass kicked" is to an old Italian story. It seems there once was a village in Southern Italy with a hard working farmer. Next door to this farmer lived a thief. Whenever the farmer went out to tend his chickens he found eggs missing. He suspected the thief. He began to lay a trap. At first he left a container of milk on the back stoop and that was taken. Then he left a loaf of bread and a bottle of wine and that was taken. Then he decided to count out his money in front of a window from which his neighbor the thief had a good view. He put the money in a pouch, put the pouch over the back of his horse and returning to his house loudly told his wife he was taking the horse and the money into town. While the farmer's wife questioned him about what he was going to town to buy with the that much money, the thief hurriedly approached the horse so as to be able to steal the pouch before the farmer came back out of his house. Being a thief he approached the horse from the rear so the horse couldn't see him coming and get frightened away. But when he got close to the horse and grabbed the pouch he heard the sound of the door of the farmer's house opening and turned to run fearing the farmer was about to come out of his house. At that moment the horse turned its head, saw the thief, and gave the thief such a kick in the ass that the thief was knocked unconscious. The moral of this story is that the farmer knew his horse and the thief didn't. ================= And you Mr. One Dimensional Man ought to go back to school and read some literature.
