NOVELL ANNOUNCES GROUPWISE 5.5 UPGRADE WINDOW

Upgrade Program Allows Customers to Have the Latest GroupWise
Solutions

Novell, Inc. (Nasdaq: NOVL) today announced the availability of its
GroupWise 5.5 upgrade window. Under the terms of the GroupWise upgrade
program, users who purchase new or upgrade the U.S. version of
GroupWise 4.1a or 5.2 licenses from July 20, 1998 until 30 days after
GroupWise 5.5 ships are eligible to receive an equal number of
GroupWise 5.5 licenses for the cost of shipping and handling. A valid
proof of purchase will be required upon submitting a claim.
