Paul, IBM, Apple and Rotomola(tm Ibexx) started working on the PowerPC chip seven years ago in mid-1991. I think they actually started shipping the PPC 5 years ago. Exponential is another now defunct company that was suppose to obliterate Intel. Or was Exponential the same as the PPC pact. I can't keep track of them. Some of these initiatives burst onto the scene with a big splash, but then they seem to just fade away. Dale
