I spent either as an employee or consulting 12 years with Southwest writing flight scheduling systems. I was there from airplane 15 to 100 and something. Then I did some related work co-founded DataBase Products (Dot tables on CD-Rom) (If this is too arcane don't worry). I then was involved with Air South (employee number 4) doing all the sheduling and forcasting there (until the idiots took over and decided to do the 'passenger bypass' stategy). such a waste. Oh well. I could rant on that one for a long time. many lessons there. Why? are you an airline guy? wanna start an airline? Some great niches out there and not many people smart enough (contrary enough) to understand them.
