Xy, I ALSO was just at FIVE different stores when I had my recent Hard Drive problems two weeks ago. I OF COURSE checked out the modems and bombarded the salespeople with questions. What was the MAIN question? WHEN are you getting SOME MORE USRX modems in stock? They were ALL sold out.(except for a few less desirable "non-upgradeable leftovers") Every store!!! The models that are "56 upgradeable" are selling like hotcakes! I'm in CA and went to a COMP USA, Best Buy, Circuit City, The Good Guys and a local independent comp. store that I like to frequent. All of the above stores are HUGE. Nothing bigger unless you go all the way to L.A. I'm thinking of calling some of the mail-order places to see what the deal is. (maybe we should ALL start calling and help our stock out<G>) The salespeople tried to talk me into other modems, but I told them "I only buy the best- USRX"<g> Jeff PS: One guy tried to tell me that the ZOOM was also upgradeable. I set him straight.
