T.G.W., you ol' dog! You drug our argument over here?!?! Hee! Hee! Pulled an endrun on me? Oh Well.
Here is my response to my Best Bulletin Board Buddy, T.G.W.
T.G.W., you said...
As usual you stuck your foot in your mouth Red Big whatever. And why wouldn't any CEO that has nothing to hide post on an SI bulletin board? What would they have to fear?
I'll tell you EXACTLY what they'd have to fear.
In the StreetCom's daily bulletin for July 9, 1998, Kevin Petrie, a staff reporter had a story on Chris Edgecomb, CEO of phone carrier Star Telecommunications (STRX:Nasdaq). Apparently, Edgecomb frequents a chatgroup on Yahoo to "brag about the multi-million dollar house he's building, discuss his recent unloading of company stock and flaunt his ties to the rock band REO Speedwagon." Approximately 5 weeks ago, Edgecomb was impersonated by someone with a similar alias -- "CE0_Chris" (with a zero) rather than "CEO_Chris" (with the letter "O"), which Edgecomb uses. Edgecomb was "deeply disturbed" and contacted Tim Koogle and his attorney. He says he'll quit visiting the chat group if the impersonations happen again.
T.G.W., our mutual friend, Saturday, from RagingBull suggested I post some of my other responses to you over here since, in his words, they "were great!" I wasn't going to do it, but, since you insist, T.G.W., here are the links...
