Jeff, what's this 'secret' launching? It seems suspiciously like a military launch. That means that Zenit profits from Globalstar will be used to enhance launching of more military stuff. Gosh, Globalstar staff might even suggest to the Zenit staff that they ensure the gyroscopes are spinning before they light the fuse, which would be tantamount to treason. Has Bernie Schwartz been arrested for conspiring to help the 'secret' launches which will be used against the USA?

Looks as though Congress should put the whole Globalstar program on hold until the Russian and Chinese links to senior management and the White House are sorted out. Meanwhile, they are sending Madeline Albright to New Zealand to put the acid on us to cancel our free trade policies - allowing anyone to import legal products. Called parallel importing apparently. We will tell her to get a real job.

It is getting very hard for the goodies and baddies, cowboys and Indians, cops and robbers, religious crusades, political view of the world to hold together. It seems to be dissolving into an integrated commercial global entity of private interests operating in co-operative enterprises. What an awful situation for bureaucrats and busybodies to control.

If the Japs nuke San Diego for example, it would knock out some significant Sony investments and trade opportunities.

Good riddance to the 20th century!

Maurice

PS: I'm not so naive as to think those who love to organize other people, be in charge and run a herd of servants or preferably slaves won't find plenty of places to play "I'm the boss", but their opportunities are increasingly circumscribed. But government spending share of GNP is a good guide to how amazingly common the little Hitlers are. And there are plenty in private business, but at least they have competitors to answer to.
Okay, end of rant...
