Yup, while the Civil War makes for fascinating reading, it was a terrible thing to go through. You might like a book I just read, the battle of Franklin as seen through the eyes of a private. The Black Flower. I'll be very surprised if this isn't made into a movie. I just hope they don't try to sweeten it up, the story needs its poignant ending.
