DCF, thank you so much for posting those posts. It shows that the "center of the world" -- that is the center of "our world" is pretty narrow and small -- I visited some mission stations in Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and Zaire several years ago. Their singing was fantastic. They would jam-pack so many in their churches---churches that would seat 75-100 by our standars---and we were told that there would be 500 in attendance---crammed---crammed---crammed---and their services were long---long---long---and their radiance shone---shone---shone.
It was interesting to see a Chicago bull sweatshirt, or a Denver Bronco, or a New York Yankee Tee Shirt being worn by them, compliments of clothes shipped by cargo overseas.
Their fervor and zeal for our LORD Jesus Christ puts our "affluent" Christianity to shame.
