This announcement could be viewed as a negative for FTEL/FNET since it creates awareness of the intense competition FNET will face, not only in South America, but all over the world. Barriers to entry into VoIP are decreasing every week. New entrants are jumping ahead of FNET. Can FNET grab a slice of this potentially huge market? Probably. But first mover status in a market is extremely important from a marketing perspective. Even if FTEL/FNET has superior technology, often it is the better marketer which wins in the end (eg VHS vs. Beta).

Also, without NAZ, FTEL will not get noticed by brokerages or newsletters. Since it appears that $4 will not be sustained for any period of time within the next month, and with the prfd shares and warrants being converted and sold, selling short, and the lack of pricing strategy and major joint partners, FTEL has an extreme challenge. I hope the company establishes a business strategy which takes advantage of core competencies to create a competetive advantage where differentiation attracts customers over rivals.

I am long FTEL but am concerned. I enjoy lurking from time to time, but sense too much rah rah from many from this board. I appreciate the balance created by VS. His counterpoints are very relevant and informative. I suppose VS is long FTEL at this time. Otherwise he wouldn't be interested in posting to this board. He must be skeptical as I am, and is seeking an understanding as best as possible.
