how are you feeling about HP and DEC (who?) these days - are those "win rates" from HP quite high enough 4 you? Is HP's Starfire Killer V Class computers available with anything more than 32 processors - Sun coming out with 4 way clustering - up to 256 UltraSparcs. How about virtual domains - more than a year after Starfire ships. HP decides to hock their future selling 8 way pentium pro servers with an OS that scales on less than 4 - reports renewed deman for HP3000's running MPE, content on the web doubling every 100 days - information overload - amazon.com buys an E10000, mission-critical computing becomes the norm, not the exception, business on the web open 24 x 7, e-commerce, streaming video, audio, Navy ships going up in flames, NT 5 delayed, Web Phones, Network Computers, set top boxes, 64-bit windows? - ha, ha just kidding, Merced delayed, Sun announces JINI - spontaneous networking, breakthrough Xeon chip recycled Pentium II (will be seen competing with an AMD in your next computer priced at $500), HP's last technology announcment - a JVM clone. Hope the Laserjet 25 selling for $99 has some margins in it.

oh the humanity!
