Hello Taxikid: Marvelous! There is a dearth of original new business development. It is something many executives should do, but for many, many practical reasons, it is impossible for them to do it justice, hence there are at least a handful sprinkled around in this country. After the waves of restructurings more than 10 years ago, I just realized I have not encountered one counterpart in that time--and I used to know of a handful of groups. Maybe they are as numerous as the 5 or 6 genuine VC groups in the country--couple in Chicago, couple West Coast, and probably the rest East Coast. Lots of imitators. Unfortunately I think I am using some of my skills in reverse to consider whether to short meaningless operations--ZITL and CCSI notably prominent, BTIM is unbelievable, internet mania--I'd offer, and without a decent assessment, that without bandwidth and generally available hardware to use it, the internet is dog technology. The next GHz backbone plus a few years to develop enough usable hardware so that the new and cleverly useful applications can be enabled, now then the internet will be something! I wish you the greatest of success in your business. Best regards, m |
