Re The Bottom?:

Jakob's logic simply seems to work. We will not have a bottom until capacity is taken out--actual factories have to be scrapped, some producers have to fold, and a bunch of steppers have to go to the dump. Simply unplugging the little cuties won't do it because it's a cinch then to start em back up again.

So, bottom? Nope. Not yet.

I reckon that if the short to medium fundamentals are poor, yet the price continues to rise, then the Madness of Crowds is driving the price. Quant suggests that the move will be fast. S/he figures up but if Mr. Market has gone a little bonkers, the quick movement will be down. After all, it's just tulips.
