$2.92 per share book value, $1.03 share in cash.
This is my calculation based on most recent 4/4/98 balance sheet: Cash $8,898,000 Shareholders Equity $25,162,000 Weighted Average Shares Outstanding 8,614,000
these numbers are down (pershare) vs. 1997 and will probably be down further on the next report. And, these are Canadian dollars.
Still.... 1. There is no long term debt to speak of. 2. Even if the book falls to $3.00 / share, the current market price ($4.25) is not excessive. 3. Despite its faults, the Marconi alliance should be a supportive factor. 4. The long term prospects for the technology remain strong.
We are at the lowest lows now. i might add a few more shares on the gamble of good news Monday. if there is no pop, i cant see how we can go much lower. Anyway, ive been buying on the dips all along, since i plan to hold for the long run. I regret not selling on the big run up earlier, (only so i could buy back in cheaper), but if wishes were horses beggers would ride. looks like i wont be riding anywhere for awhile. |
