Does anybody read a prospectus? 1-800-CONTACTS states on page 5 of its prospectus that "1/3 of its net sales in 1997 appear to conform to the requirements of applicable state laws and regulation." This means that 2/3 of its net sales don't conform to state laws and regulations. They are selling a FDA medical device without prescriptions. This is an illegal activity.

It also states that "the company is not an authorized dealer for the majority of the products which it sells."

The company also states that they "pay sometimes higher than that paid by eyecare practitioners."

I know of a class action law suit filed in the State of California against 1-800-CONTACTS. The injunction is set for August 18, 1998
