I disagree. Everyone that has tried to stay out of MSFT's way and work with them has been castrated (many times by questionable business practices). You have to fight them head-on. SUNW has proven that, while HP and DEC are casualties of attempts to work closely with MSFT and stay out of their way. Look at the history and you will not find any TRUE, healthy survivors who have worked closely with MSFT. MSFT takes no survivors.
