Many companies are still implementing earlier versions of R/3

SAP AG may have released the latest version of its R/3 software on schedule, but many SAP users at last month's Sapphire user conference, in Madrid, Spain,
barely seemed to have registered it on their radar screens.

Most users were in the midst of lengthy implementations of earlier versions of the company's enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and thus not considering
a switch anytime soon to R/3 Versions 4.0 and Versions 4.5., released this month, according to an informal poll of attendees at SAP's conference.
