On the other hand, nobody who has tried to unseat Microsoft has been successful... No, I'm sorry, when there is an 800-pound gorrila in your path, you work with the gorrila. (How do you work with a gorilla? Do ANYTHING IT WANTS! :) ) You might look at CTXS as a company that tried to work with MSFT, and, while there were some problems along the way, have ultimately been pretty darn successful.
