DELL on ASP for anyone interested. CFO comments on a broker conference call stated that ASP (average sales price) was declining. what the brokers did not hear or did not want to hear was the comment that component prices were also declining. Therefore it costs DELL less so they can sell them for less. The CFO and DELL press release confirmed this had no negative affect on margins or earnings.

Being able to decrease prices they are able to stay more competitive and ahead of the slower to react IBM, CPQ AND HWP.
