Matthew, I just sent in the following reply to a thread on the liklihood of a market "crash", techstocks.com
Note that my comments seem to support many of your statements in the opening remarks for this thread. My general belief is that there are some great buying opportunities if you shop around and find the right companies that are going to benefit in the rapidly expanding global economy. There has never been a time in history to compare to what we are about to see in the next decade. The signs are all over the place if you travel to places outside the US, especially in Asia and Latin America.

I do agree that we will see some 10 or 15 percent corrections in the stock market along the way, which I view as even better buying opportunities. The thing to remember is these corrections will seem very scary in the media to the general public, because they will involve losses of several hundred points in the Dow averages more often than in the past.
