kemble or any of you loyal dell investors,
i have been reading the thread for a month now, after investing in dell in may. i have an interest in long term position, as well as short plays when the opportunity presents itself (i.e. yesterday's misinfo and over-reaction).
i gather that some of you are doing short term plays as well as holding and building your long term positions (ie. my portfolio is about 50% dell, possibly more since i just bought more!).
my question is, have you found that any of the technical analysis tools help to predict either short term or long term trends, particularly short term (since we all know dell is well positioned for long term)?
i would appreciate suggestions for these types of tools from anyone who has found them helpful.
also, has anyone looked at the historical stock price moves immediately following past stock splits? i would be interested in these figures (ie. stock climbs x% within a week of a split or whatever...).
finally, if you have a chance to let me know - do you all tend to subscribe to s.i. for the $200 lifetime fee, or just the $100 annual?
also, kemble, i missed meeting you and the others at the shareholder meeting, but i would still love to get some of the dell tees if you can still get them...please advise. thank you!
