! Every company that made a religious crusade against MICROSOFT is DEAD ! Dead !

Why do you think it's a religious war?

If he voices his true opinion then how is this a religious war?
I for one agree with him in that MS has a terrible OS and the poor uninformed and monopolized consumer will be stuck with this crap unless there is a truly great company that can make a change. The network is the computer is a great solution to the present MS crap for the average computer user. Write once run ever where is great solution for multiple OS. If it wasn't for Sun you wouldn't have seen sub $1000 systems, TCO is in the lime light. The computer consumer can only thank one company for this and it isn't MS.

Why have hardware vendors margins keep slipping on systems and MS prices stay the same? Could it be a monopoly?

You have just proved a good point on why MS should be broken up. If companies have great ideas and it happens to cross into MS path your saying to get out of the way. My question is when this happens then were is the innovation and competition going to come from? It sure the h*ll isn't going to come from MS. MS mission is to pump out sloppy OS to get you on the upgrade cycle. This is what you call a cash cow for them.

Have you upgraded to win98 or should I say OSR3 yet? If they weren't such a greedy company or else the consumers weren't so stupid they would demand it for free since it's only a OSR and the last time I check the other OSR from MS were free. MS is the only company that could get away with this, what a great company.
