Liking the Gold standard and deploying the Gold stanard are two different animals. When the US fed increases M2 money supply buy bond repurchases, has the US Fed increased Gold reserves? Don't think so.
So they are in fact undermining their currency.

It amuses me how many of those interviewing Greenspan actually suck up to him. And how there is a 15 second delay between what he says, a the market.
