As a long time lurker, I agree with pretty much all you said. My interest in NVID is to make money on the shares I bought last year. I bought mostly between .14 and .25. Following this thread has been a great learning experience about investing in BB stocks and also about how to treat the various threads. The only truth here, if there is one, is to do your own DD. However, that can be difficult on non-reporting companies. In that case, sometimes the only information you can get is from these threads. If that is the case, then, in my opinion, only invest what you can afford to lose. After all, these are extremely risky, and you should not be investing in penny stocks if you do not know what you are doing. And if you are playing with penny stocks, then how can you be surprised at all the shenanigans going on. That is the nature of penny stocks. thats the reason so many people tell you to stay away from penny stocks.
What is your take on the cast of characters that make up these threads. What is your guess on the percentage of posters that are actually investors with no ties to the company and no ties to competitors and no ties to any sort of investment company. I say 40% are honest posters and the rest are either hypesters or bashers.
Also, how many lurkers do you think are out there? I would say most of them are honest potential posters. Lets try a roll call. Everyone that follows this thread, please say "here". |
