You're right on the money, Nolan. Didn't McNealy say in the
earnings report call that SUNW was now being rewarded for the
delays in enterprise computing solutions from MSFT & INTC??
SUNW is taking it right to MSFT's doorstep with Java & application
servers and, importantly, is AHEAD of the race to penetrate the
opposition's market.
MSFT finally has to go it alone w/NT: there's nobody out their
to help them with their OS. Not Apple (Windows), not Lotus (Excel),
not WordPerfect (Word), not Intuit (Money), not Borland (C compilers),
etal... There's nobody to buy out, nobody to loot. No, this time
they are writing something ALL BY THEMSELVES and they are falling
flat on their faces with it.
The iron is HOT, it's time for SUNW to strike. |
