<<. The street looks at sequential growth. Sequential growth was the same as last quarter which is good, but on a higher loss which is bad. In other words AMZN is spending more to get new customers>>
Timoteo,
Revenue growth Q to Q about 32% could be achieved easily when sales in the range of 120 millions a Q. It is a big hurdle when sales in 200-300 millions or larger per Q except they give books and CDs away at more loss. Remember consumer number is limited and amzn faces several big guy competitors.
This month 11 analysts gave amzn 2.50 from last month 2.10, while stock is about 30% higher. I don't think stock price can fly at 130 longer, too much risks here for long term funds. Furthermore, insiders are looking forward to sell their stocks and the bigger float will bring down the price. Smart money will sell now and buy later at 80-90. Just my opinion.
