Emile, may I say this, I believe you to be a brother in the Lord, but only God really knows who is in the family. Never-the-less I shall treat you as a dear brother in the Lord. With that, I must disagree with your vicious attacks on people. True, God has directed that we live by the Scriptures and defend its teachings. I do however believe we can do that without such harsh rebukes to our brothers. Maybe this is the problem, you don't believe them to be brothers. But if they are, and only God knows, it behoves us to speak in love and not in such terms as to give infidels an opportunity to condemn Christ. Jesus has provided a wide enough path that we can all walk together, arm in arm, fellowshipping in the Holy Spirit and yet have disagreement. I cannot find in my Bible a place that gives the impression that any individual has all the knowledge of God. In fact, it is my belief that we know very little, and what we think we know, we don't handle it very well. Emile, I love you, and it hurts to see you respond in this manner. Is not judging our brother forbidden by Christ? Surely you know that Jesus is aware of all things and He will judge His people. Anyway, a 100 years from now we will not know the difference. As you know, for the sake of Christ, it is sometimes valuable to let things slide and Jesus will handle it. He can turn it to His glory.
Love in the Lord Jesus,
David |
