How have things been going for you and Alan? Just returned from vacation and had a great time with the family. I was able to pick up some very interesting old books at a used Christian book store in Michigan. One in particular touched my heart called RAYS OF MESSIAH'S GLORY - Christ in the Old Testament by David Baron. This book was first published in 1886 and it is fascinating to hear him explain the Jewish roots of our wonderful Messiah. So much that he talks about is coming true today as God's people are returning to him in these last days.
Eze 36:24-29 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do [them]. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
Do not let Emile bother you my dear sister. So many here know that Shalom is a dear brother. The word promises we will know one another by our fruits and by the love we have one for another. I wonder if Emile could explain these verses from the prophet Ezekiel. They certainly speak of the Nation Israel and not the Church. Only a seriously deceived person could believe that God is through with his people Jewish children. He loved me while I was yet a sinner. It gives me comfort to know that he still loves his Jewish children as well. Emile may be a brother, I cannot judge. I do know he is being deceived by someone or some spirit. I think we should silently pray for him as he is unable to see the truth because of his hatred. I pray that his zeal can be turned into a zeal for truth and not the deception he continually spreads.

PS The bookstore is called Shiloh (313)274-6244. The owner's name is Marvin and he has over 40,000 out of print and hard to find books. I purchased many about Messiah and also a commentary set by J. Vernon Mcgee. If you have been looking for any older books he may have them and he said he would ship. He will soon be on the Web and will have E-mail. Until then I think the number is worth holding on to.
PSS By the way I got accepted into Bible College and will begin on August 19th with registration. I am so excited and my first three classes will be on the Life of Messiah, the Torah, and the Old Testament. I can hardly wait for summer to end now that vacation is finished. |
