Dr Engel, this copper development is interesting, do you believe there is a long term advantage toward processors being based on copper? I would imagine it would be quite a bit more expensive to produce, but that is just a wild guess.

Since the speed advantages seem non existent. Why move the chips to this format? Are they looking down the road at Laptop heat dissipation perhaps?

This inquiring student aid (who reports very good results from the last exam) would be interested to know. :-)
