I think you need to do more research.

The process flow sheet in the patent shows three streams leaving the extractor (log washer): a hydrocarbon product (top), a coarse slurry (bottom), and a fines slurry (middle). The top product is the desired hydrocarbon product (the process attempts to recover and recycle hydrocarbons that leave in the other streams). The top product is supposed to be a decanted hydrocarbon layer (not a froth), but in SOLV's tests they only made a froth (according to the eye-witness report). In other words, the test was a failure.

You can keep trying to spin the eye-witness account to suit your purposes, but an intelligent reader will see it as documentation that SOLV was unable to make the system work in the field. No subsequent reports showed otherwise. If you wish to invest on the basis of management claims that all will be well, however, it's your money. Good luck.
