Hi Werlick,
My info is:
(1) Apache has to elect" to drill a second earning (i.e. deep) well by August 26/98. Note however that the spudding of the well only has to occur at a later date, usually within 60 - 90 days of the "election to drill". But, I still expect that Apache et al will soon spud a shallow well to twin the 3-22 well (which has at least 14 BCF of PROVEN SHALLOW gas). Why?? So that they can also have that gas on stream by November 1, 1998.
(2) From Alberta Crown Sale Notice data, I believe that land sales of interest are Aug 5 (1 section only), Aug 19 (1.5 sections) and Sept 16 (much larger). Postings for subsequent sales are not yet public information but I expect that additional lands of interest will be posted after Sept 16. Hence, I still question when the tight hole status will be lifted.
RE: "There is always leaks, people talk. I hope and pray this one is as tight as a frogs a--."
When information is found to be "leaking" from a "tight hole", the well operator will sometimes tighten its internal controls and then disperse information to partners only on a "need to know basis". I would not be surprised if that's what we now have here. NOBODY is even saying Hello let alone talking!!!! If anyone was talking, these stocks wouldn't be trading where they are!!
Do you get the feeling that these juniors may have something worth NOT talking about??
