To All- Anyone notice the short interest in NT? Jumped from 3MM the day before merger announcement(6/15) to 21MM+ on 7/15!! With NT only trading about 2-3MM a day, the recent earnings report should leave the shortsellers with a tough decision of when to cover. The market downdraft of the last few days is not company-specific and I don't believe the arbitraguers can hang out there short up to the time of the merger. In net, this should help boost the stock price in the next few weeks, IMO. By the way, Bay's short interest fell a few million to about 4MM+; no big deal either way. Paul
