FWIW, per a network engineer at Bristol Meyers-Squibb and GE...new personal PCs do typically come with EIDE built on board. However, there are devices such as scanners, etc, that require SCSI connections, so there will continue to be a need for SCSI cards. EIDE cards are good for upgrading to faster (33 mb/sec) HDDs, and for cheap internal cdroms on SCSI servers.
