After Shoe Height, I'm kind of afraid to ask, but I will. WHO?
I am becoming obsessed with looking at the life of David strictly from what each verse actually says. I see that the old testament is mostly bad people and bad history, separated by Moses, David until he fell, and the prophets. Much probably like the history of Christianity, looked at from the Romish offshoots, versus Francis in Assisi, and Bernard in France, and hundreds of others.
The lesson of David, however, as I clearly see, is ANYTHING but the fact that the Lord would like us all dancing naked in the streets to a din made of any kind of noise humans can make. Sometimes I feel this is the only lesson they have managed to take from David's life.
Actually, there is so much of great interest to talk about I can as you know go in any direction and spend hours. But I hope that we can seriouslyfind meaning in our discussions here, and draw closer to a complete understanding as our Lord would have us understand of any matter discussed. On that we are all in agreement I know.
I very much wanted to follow with Danicus retelling of Paul's visit. But Danicus left. Afraid the judiasers would stone him. NOT HERE. No stoning here. That's on the other thread. I think there is probably no chapter in the Bible that I can't get a lesson from. And I have yet to see a human in perfect balance, certainly not myself.
Must check the prayer thread and leave. I was sure I would get by the whole night without firing up the old net, but just can't seem to resist. It's just sitting here, and so easy tune in.l |
