We discussed the satellite last year and repeatedly during this year. If you believe that is where to be, go there. If you want to know what we discussed and which has been confirmed by the majority of ambulance chasing high tech companies, go read the thread.

I did look at a chart on TDFX. That isn't of much value. I also checked my every trade analytical program. It said the stock is down ticking on a 100 shares, but zero plus ticking on 1,000 shares. If you're long, hope that ends up meaning nothing.

TWX doubts DVD will fly too. I like that they doubt and you doubt. They doubt because it's a viable gamble, but they know broadband should preempt the DVD in time. However neither they nor you have realized that if you set up a disk mechanism in the STB, you have to have a huge storage and a way to control distribution. Along comes the dead DVD.

The DVD marked blank could be sold in stores, hot swapped into the STB, to receive broadband download of Hollywood's favorites. You can control illegal reproduction this way by electronic lock on download. A terabyte fixed disk in a PC can't be externally locked, but an element of controlled medium can. When the disk space is exhausted and/or viewing times limit exceeded, the disk must receive electronic authorization from the distributor. How else is artistically protected multimedia going to be profitably distributed?

Eventually this technology will disappear, but for several years while broadband is getting into gear, it could be a cheap way to accomplish quite a lot. TWX pilot program isn't quite on course. With a little reflection they might see things in a way similar to the above speculation.
