Now Don,
Let's not get too weird, ok? First I get this:

Doug,
I wouldn't want to endorse your 56crap thread. I have been reading through it for several weeks because I figured that there could be something there with the significant following you have. Unfortunately, I can't substantiate the mayhem over there and you said yourself in the title that you have an attitude. I will continue to stick with fundamental analysis, which has served me well. (By the way, Actrade does not fit into any kind of fundamental stock selection analysis for a rational investor.)
That said, I have plucked two winners off you and your thread. The first was AINN, which I no longer hold, but still watch and the second is CADE, which I have been following for several months but didn't buy until today which I picked up from the 56er thread which refocused my attention. I figure there is little downside risk with CADE and a chance for a nice short term gain. Still, AINN and CADE are fundamental plays based on earnings, not voodoo charting.
I thank you for those gains, but you must admit there is a lot of nonsense and babble over there. My bread and butter has come from THQI which will announce earnings on Thursday. They are coming into the big six months for the industry and I expect good things to happen during the third and fourth quarters. The stock can be successfully traded, which I do with some shares, but I am a long term owner on this one.
Happy investing. I'm sure we will clash on the treads once in a while.
Don
P.S. Mr. Pink is a kind soul and provides some decent picks on occasion. Can't beat him for entertainment value and his advice is on solid ground. In fact, he has become somewhat of a kindred spirit for me on SI because there are so many idiots posting here. My best guess is that he is right on target with Actrade. Nothing wrong with picking up a few bucks trading the stock, but there are so many better places to drop a dime.
I answer with this:

Don,
Sorry to hear of your lack of understanding of what occurs on my crap thread. If you read the last few weeks why didn't you short AMZN for 36 points in 2 days or EGGS for 8 in two days when I called the tops? Or why didn't you pick up that one day 40% technical bounce on ABTE I nailed. You could have at least gone after DIGL for the easy 20%. No??? You didn't?? Not even the current move in FJC??? Hmmm, you couldn't have seen me call the TRBDF breakout, I did that in some PMs along with BIOX...sorry. I've also been active in BGR in this PM world for a while. Nice little stock there.
Several weeks huh? Well you missed a whole lot of stuff. Like back in December when everyone was calling AMZN WAY overvalued and I was pounding the table over the technicals. Of course it's hard to hold on for a full 400%, most people take profits before that. Then there was EGPT which I mentioned many times at 5 1/2 and 6. That stock is a bit unknown though. And right after EAII's split I raved about it a few times (of course I raved about it before the split too). I guess I found FAXX a bit too early for you too. And it must have been too long ago when I called ASND's run from 30.
Let's see...Maybe you'd like CMNT or GTNR. I hear GTNR is supposed to have great funnymentals. Then there's BJCT. It's hard to argue with Merck on that one. Oh, and I've been stalking DATC for a while. I believe it's ready now. Not much info available on it but the TA is ripe.
At least you like CADE. I picked that one at 1 3/4...but of course, you weren't in touch at the time. And I hope you got into AINN at 7 when it first hit my radar screen. RECY at 2 11/16 and IFCI at 1 3/4 were fun too. You would have loved it when I called MVSI's leap from 3 down to the day...4 weeks in advance. But I suppose that's all just crap and the people that like my thread are too.
Oh, BTW, it's the charts I like that have the attitude. Not everything I pick is a winner but nobody can do that I'm sure you're aware. Following the proper principles for cutting your losses takes care of those though.
See you around.
Doug
and yet you continue behave poorly. Oh well, there's no accounting for cyberpunks I geuss.
Happy investing to you as well, Doug R |
