All my spare $ is invested in my business at the moment.

I trust my ability as a programmer and marketer to generate 100% growth per annum more than a risky stock I can never know enough about. If I do invest in stocks, it will be in mutual funds (let the experts do it for me) or conservative investments in companies that I know will never lose such as Microsoft. In which case, I won't need to watch the stocks on a daily basis.

My motivation to be here is that is it a distraction from programming and I feel I am doing a favor to some people. Like I said, I really hate companies that try to patent software. I think it concentrates power to the big software companies and stiffles innovation and stiffles lowering the cost of software. Luckily, software patents are inherently easy to work around in most cases. Even the ubiqutous GIF graphics format (Unisys infamous LZW patent) will be subverted with the coming widesread support of PNG. Web graphics will eventually be PNG and JPG, not GIF and JPG.

Also, I never liked Synthonics' practice of hyping "photogrammetry on a PC" as their own invention, especially since their technical implementation is comparative weak. It seemed too close to a lie to me. So, then when I discovered they were awarded a patent that could impact my work, I had to go thru all the research effort to make sure I wouldn't infringe and build prior art war chest evidence. This blew my top and I decided to expose them for what they really are and have. In other words, they pulled my away from my nice programming world so since I ws pulled away, I might as well go for the distraction (illogial I know).

Don't get me wrong. I do think photogrammetry can make $, just not enough to cover Synthonics' $3 million capitalization (and growing) and still return a fair annualized profit to those who have been in for a year or more. I am trying to balance my statements a little so I don't affect the price of the stock because you all do seem like really nice people and I don't want to hurt you all. That is not my intention.

Good Luck,
Henry
