Partly, the conversion to iMac manufacturing has already happened, so the supply of other machines will be impacted by that. I don't think there's enough there to worry about (any more than usual, anyway). With Apple's new improved inventory management, I don't think they'd be slashing prices without something headed for the pipeline soon.

Meanwhile, we've retreated close to pre-earnings market valuation, which I think means shopping time. I thought we'd be back in the 34s sooner, but that just convinces me more that you can't really time the market. Apple may not be the bargain it was at 14 in December, but its still a bargain.

I can just see the headlines next month: "Apple's sales fell this month to 9.3%, another market share decline for the troubled computer maker..."
